लोवर मॉल रोड (Lower Mall Road) की स्थायी मरम्मत के लिए महज 3.5 करोड़ रुपए मिलने में लग गए 5 वर्ष, जानें अब कैसे होगी मरम्मत
Lower Mall Road, After a long wait of 5 years, a budget of approximately Rs 3.48 crore has been approved for the permanent repair of Lower Mall Road in Nainital. The road had suffered a collapse on August 18, 2018, and has been undergoing temporary treatment since then. The allocated funds will be utilized to construct a 40-meter-long reinforced concrete (RCC) bridge on both sides of the 25-meter portion of the road that extends over the lake. Notably, cracks have been observed in approximately 170 meters of Lower Mall Road. If the experiment proves successful in the 40-meter section, similar repair work can be undertaken for the remaining damaged areas.

नवीन समाचार, नैनीताल, 28 जून 2023। वर्ष 2018 में 18 अगस्त और इसके बाद ध्वस्त हुई और तब से अस्थाई-कामचलाऊ उपचार के भरोसे चल रही नैनीताल की लोअर माल रोड (Lower Mall Road) के ट्रीटमेंट के लिए 5 वर्ष बाद 3.48 करोड़ यानी करीब साढ़े तीन करोड़ रुपए का बजट स्वीकृत हो गया है। इस धनराशि से एक तरह से मॉल रोड के वर्ष 2018 में झील में समाए 25 मीटर हिस्से के दोनों ओर कुल मिलाकर 40 मीटर हिस्से में एक तरह से आरसीसी के पुल का निर्माण किया जाएगा।
गौरतलब है कि लोवर मॉल रोड पर करीब 170 मीटर हिस्से में दरारें हैं। आगे विभाग की ओर से कहा जा रहा है कि यदि 40 मीटर में किया जा रहा प्रयोग सफल होता है तो शेष हिस्से में भी इसी तरह का कार्य क्रिया जा सकता है।
लोनिवि के प्रांतीय खंड के सहायक अभियंता जीएस जनौती ने बताया कि स्वीकृत योजना के तहत टीएचडीसी यानी टिहरी हाइड्रो कारपोरेशन लिमिटेड के बनाए गए डिजाइन के आधार पर लोवर माल रोड पर एक वर्ष के भीतर नए सिरे से 40 मीटर लंबी और साढ़े चार मीटर चौड़ी आरसीसी यानी कंक्रीट की सड़क बनाई जाएगी।

After 5 years, a budget of Rs 3.48 crore i.e. about three and a half crore has been approved for the treatment of Lower Mall Road of Nainital, which collapsed on 18th August in the year 2018 and thereafter and since then has been relying on temporary-improvisational treatment.
With this amount, in a way, in the year 2018, an RCC bridge will be constructed in a way of 40 meters on both sides of the 25 meter portion of the lake which is included in the lake. Significantly, there are cracks in about 170 meters of Lower Mall Road. Further, it is being said by the department that if the experiment being done in 40 meters is successful, then similar work can be done in the remaining part as well.
GS Janauti, assistant engineer of the provincial section of Lonivi, said that under the approved plan, on the basis of the design made by THDC i.e. Tehri Hydro Corporation Limited, on the Lower Mall Road, a new 40 meter long and four and a half meter wide RCC i.e. within a year. Concrete road will be made.
For this, SDA self-diving anchors will be installed in 50-50 cm under the road and 300 mm cement pipes will be installed every three meters. It has been claimed that after this arrangement, even in the event of a landslide at this place, the road will remain in its place like a bridge. Tenders have been invited for this work. It will take one year to complete the work.
